Comprehensive Plan 2008

Good afternoon.  This is Joel West, Senior Planner with Yaggy Colby Associates.  I have just uploaded a PDF version of the MN Design Team Presentation into the “File Library”.  As you may recall or perhaps you were a participant in the MN Design team visit from April 24 - 27, 2008.  As a consultant preparing the city’s comprhensive plan update, I feel very fortunate to have been able to participate in this process and to be able to utilize the insight and recommendations from the team as part of the planning process.  I want to express my appreciation to the community and the team for all their work before, during and after the visit.

Good Morning, Joel West, Senior Planner with Yaggy Colby Associates. As part of our some related work in the City of Rushford, but related to the Comprehensive Plan Update Yaggy Colby Associates prepared a market analysis regarding the potential relocation of the hardware store to one of four different locations in the City.  In addition to evaluating the four locations, a threshold analysis of the population base and trade area for a hardware store was also prepared.  A link to the document is listed below and the document can also be found in the file library.  market-analysis-potential-hardware-store-relocation-rushford-mn-april-2008

As part of our continuing work on the Comprehensive Plan Update Yaggy Colby Associates has assembled a variety of information regarding population, estimated population growth, demopgraphic data, economic data on basic employment sectors etc.  I have posted this information in the File Library for review by all.  This data will also be helpful as background information as part of the Minnesota Design Team Team visit . The Minnesota Design Team is scheduled to to visit Rushford April 24 throught 26, 2008. The goal is to bring people together from Rushford, Rushford Village and Peterson to forge a common vision in response to the devastating floods last year.
